What is Retouching?

Retouching, very similar to digital painting in its technique, is all about making portraits pop by tidying up their composition and zapping away anything that might steal the show. It's like digital magic, where we tweak colors, smooth out skin, and fine-tune every little detail until it's just right. The aim? To show off your best self while keeping things real.

Why does it take so long to retouch an image?

Retouching takes time because it's a bit like crafting a delicate sculpture. Each adjustment requires careful consideration, much like shaping clay into a work of art. It's akin to meticulously pruning a bonsai tree; every detail matters, and rushing through it could ruin the whole thing. So, we take our time to ensure that every aspect of the image is perfected, resulting in a final product that's truly exceptional.

Can’t you just copy the edit from one image and paste it to the next?

While it might seem convenient to copy and paste edits from one photo to another, it's not always effective because every photo is different. Lighting conditions, skin tones, and other variables can vary greatly between images, meaning that what works for one photo might not work for another. Each edit needs to be tailored to the specific characteristics of the individual photo to achieve the best results. Additionally, copying and pasting edits indiscriminately can lead to a lack of consistency and an unnatural look across a series of photos.
